Our standard

ECTM builds to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. In plain terms, that means this site is designed to be perceivable, operable, and understandable without a mouse, without sound, and without perfect vision. We hold the hotel websites we build for clients to the same bar we hold our own.

What that looks like here

• Every content page starts with a skip-to-content link for keyboard and screen reader users.
• Navigation menus and expanding elements, like the questions on our FAQ page, work with a keyboard alone and announce their open or closed state to screen readers.
• Every image carries descriptive alternative text.
• Headings, landmarks, and labels give assistive technology a clear map of each page.
• The fields on our contact form have visible labels.
• Pages reflow to narrow screens without sideways scrolling, and pinch-zoom is never blocked.
• The site is fully bilingual: every page exists in English and Spanish, each correctly tagged so screen readers pronounce it in the right language.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you what is not perfect than pretend it is.

• Animations and transitions do not yet respond to your device's reduced-motion setting. We are working on it.
• Some fine print, such as the copyright line at the bottom of each page, does not yet meet the AA contrast ratio against our dark green background.

We review the site regularly and fix barriers as we find them. If you hit one we have not listed here, we want to know.
